Message from the Charlotte FBI Special Agent in Charge
It was a pleasure seeing many of you at the fall retrainer in Charlotte in October. I’m sure everyone joins me in extending thanks and congratulations to Captain Mike Adams, Chief Stephens, CMPD and the Executive Board for putting together an outstanding conference.
These conferences are an integral part of your association with the FBI National Academy. Director Mueller has often referred to the National Academy program as one of the crown jewels of the FBI. I, and every FBI Agent, agree. I have been heavily involved with the National Academy for several years prior to arriving in Charlotte as Special Agent in Charge in June, 2006. Upon my Arrival I was extremely impressed by what I learned about your chapter.
I believe that the success of any NAA Chapter is directly related to four elements. The quality of the candidates selected, the efforts of the Executive Board, the support of the FBI, and most significantly, the participation of people like you, the NA graduate. I encourage you to be involved in chapter activities and make every effort to attend the conferences.
As the Charlotte Division of the FBI remains committed to supporting your chapter and selecting the most qualified NA candidates, we will support agencies that have contributed to the National Academy program. Agency participation remains one of the primary considerations when selecting future candidates.
I look forward to our continued partnership. Feel free to contact me or National Academy Coordinator Gerard Senatore, to discuss issues related to National Academy or any other matter.
Best wishes for a successful, safe and rewarding 2007. I look forward to spending time with you at the Summer Conference in June.
