First Vice President Marshall Williamson began his law enforcement career in the Moore County Town of Pinebluff in 1980. In 1983 he accepted a position with the Wilmington, NC Police Department, and to date he has worked within most divisions of the department. First Vice President Williamson is currently assigned as the Division Commander for the Patrol Division and holds the rank of Captain.

First Vice President Williamson earned his AAS in Criminal Justice from Cape Fear Community College, his BA in Criminal Justice from Shaw University, and a MA in Public Administration from Webster University. He is a graduate of the 14th Session of the Administrative Officer's Management Program (A.O.M.P.) at NC State University and is a graduate of the 209th Session of the FBI National Academy. In addition, First Vice President Williamson is an adjunct faculty member with Mount Olive College and testifies as an expert witness in the areas of use of force and management issues.
