Executive Board Meeting Minutes, Gastonia, NC

President Mike Carver called the meeting to order at 12:45 PM.

President Carver thanked everyone for attending and introduced Charlotte FBI SAC Nathan Gray.

SAC Gray thanked everyone for coming and introduced new Training Coordinator John Letterhos and Training Assistant Stephanie Craig. SAC Gray thanked Training Coordinator Jerry Senatore for his contributions to the FBI Training Section and to the North Carolina Chapter.

New Training Coordinator John Letterhos introduced himself and expressed his desire to continue the excellent work being done by Jerry Senatore. Training Coordinator Litterhos pledged his continued support of the chapter.

Training Assistant Stephanie Craig introduced herself and expressed her eagerness to work with the Charlotte FBI Office and the North Carolina Chapter.

President Carver thanked Jerry Senatore for his outstanding service to the North Carolina Chapter and wished him well on his new assignment. President Carver mentioned Jerry’s participation at chapter events, training conferences, and reminded him that he is, and will always, be part of the North Carolina Chapter Family. President Carver told Jerry he has left a mark on our organization, and his sentiments were echoed by each and every board member in attendance.

Training Coordinator Senatore addressed the group and thanked them for all the support the executive boards have given him and President Carver spoke about how the organization has become more professional under the leadership or Training Coordinator Senatore, SAC Kevin Kendrick, and SAC Nathan Gray.

Past President Joey Reynolds gave an update on the National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky and reported the conference is behind schedule. He reported he will be making a campaign visit in Georgia next week to address their chapter, and reported he currently needed no funds for his campaign.

Imediate Past President Cindy Isenhour mentioned the stiff competition between the Florida and Tennessee Chapters in hosting the next Section III National Conference.

President Carver advised he and Secretary/Treasurer Mike Adams would be attending the Presidents and Secretary’s meeting in Quantico in February.

Second Vice President Ben Bailey mentioned the level of motivation the next group of academy attendee’s show, and Imediate Past President Isenhour suggested that President Carver and Secretary/Treasurer Adams take the attendees to dinner while they are in Quantico.

Imediate Past President Isenhour mentioned Rhonda Stiles leaving the national office and our chapter checking with the national office to see if and what they were going to do for her as a going away gesture.

SAC Gray advised the board he was going to invite some of the trainers and the training assistant director to spend some time with the board at the spring conference.

Training Coordinator John Letterhos advised the board he has talked to Scotty Parker about training for the spring conference and Jerry Senatore suggested opening attendance to all the area supervisors.

Imediate Past President Isenhour mentioned the Forney Award.

Second Vice President Bailey mentioned the 2011 Summer Conference and his desire to get started early with planning. The board discussed the state of the economy and its affect on future conferences.

Motion

President Carver asked the members if anyone had any further business they wished to discuss, and in absence of any further business asked for a motion to close the board meeting. Second Vice President Ben Bailey made a motion to close the meeting and received a second from President Carver. The motion passed with a unanimous vote.

The meeting adjourned at 1:35 PM.
